Using the TRW Design Wizard takes your designing and productivity to the next level and we are here to help you with every step! This is going to be the first of a series of blogs overviewing the different tabs of the Design Wizard and highlighting their main features. This time around, we’re going to overview the Edit tab and all its glory. The edit tab is arguably one of the most used tabs in the Wizard and is where most of the magic happens…hence the name “Wizard”.
The text spacing tools are going to be a lifesaver when you need to offset any letters in a design or when you need to bring text closer together to create the perfect knock-out design. These tools are also useful for when you’re working with multiple lines of text in one text box and the words are too far apart when inserting a space. There are also the options to increase character spacing and increase/decrease line spacing. Using the Wizard to decrease/increase your character spacing will quickly dissipate that space making your use of time more efficient.

Create knock-out designs in a flash with the click-of-a-button to diversify your products. The knock-out tool is a super quick way to take your designs to the next level without increasing your workload! The newest version of the Wizard 4.17 includes the new and improved enhanced knock-out tool which took this awesome feature a step further. To start using the enhanced knock-out function, all you have to do is right-click on the knock-out tool instead of left-clicking. Remember before when I said the text spacing tools come in handy when you’re doing knock-out designs? Use those new-found tools to decrease the line spacing between two words so you get the perfect knock-out design!

The magic trap function allows you to easily layer glitter heat transfer vinyl (What?! No way!) with a single-click trapping tool! The magic trap allows you to take two objects that are layered on top of each other and removes any overlapping areas adding volumes to accommodate for any vinyl shrinkage. The extra volume will make sure that there are no open spaces between two layers so that your garment won’t show through the layers.
